Founded in 2008, the Service Cooperative multiple 25 de marzo R.L from Rio Coco Madriz-Nicaragua is a non-profit co-operative committed to the conservation of life. It has 60 members and 30 pre-members of which 22 are women and 68 are men.
They strive to be a consolidated, self-sustaining Cooperative, producing and effectively marketing certified coffee and other profitable products. Incorporating added value under a system of social and environmental responsibility, recognised nationally and internationally with credibility in the coffee industry. 75.56% of the associates are small producers with less than 3.79 HA, 15.56% with less than 5 HA and 8.88% with less than 13.98 HA. Of the total 248.29 Ha, 211.04 HA is harvesting and 37.25 is in development.
The varieties of coffee in its distribution are Caturra catuai 70%, Catimor 20% and new varieties such as marseillaise and parainema 10%.
