This coffee is from the Santa Cristina farm located in Cerrado Minas Gerais, a place known for its fertile lands at an altitude of 980 metres above sea level. The Santa Cristina farm was acquired by Ricardo Aguiar Rezende in 2010 with the proposal to develop a project to produce organic coffee with high technology and quality. The farm is part of Saquarema Group, along with a number of other organic-focussed plots.
Through various actions, the farm helps its contributors and the community in which it operates, to be more supportive and thoughtful of their actions, respecting each other and contributing to a better world. With projects and goals clearly defined, the farm seeks to develop continuous improvement on working conditions; preserving the health and well being of its workers.
The farm is now in its sixth year of production of certified organic coffees. Total size of the farm is 232.87 hectares and coffee growing area has 137,51 hectares. Varieties are novo mundo, catuai, acaia and IBC 12. The farm produces natural coffee with an annual production around 6,000 bags.
Tasting Notes |
Sweet dark chocolate and walnuts give way to malt and hazelnuts. Mellow citric acidity lingers in the finish. |
